I was a transfer student from The College ofMay 11 2011Education
I was a transfer student from The College of Lake County, and I simply met with the site coordinator. He reviewed my transcripts, test results, and conducted a brief interview. I would highly recommend this program, and if you do apply, just remember to be yourself, and represent integrity.

SIU was not my first choiceApr 09 2011History/Histories (art history/etc.)
SIU was not my first choice. I applied after financial aid and scholarships at my other choice schools did not cover first year costs. I remember applying in April of my senior year of high school and being admitted two weeks later. It is not difficult to get in.
ACT: 30 Female
Just keep your grades upDec 24 2010Business - Management and Administration
Just keep your grades up. College is what you make it, regardless of your University's name brand. If you've set your mind on getting an education, you will be successful anywhere you decide to take classes.

Getting in is a jokeNov 06 2010Education
Getting in is a joke. The range of student brightness is vast, so you will be in classes with students who are on the same intellectual plane as yourself and with others who are just plain stupid. Placement in prerequisite courses is a joke too, I remember showing up for my classes only twice a week during my freshman year and still pulling a 3.0 .

Once here, you really won't have to work as hard as you did in high school. The only plus about going to school here is the beautiful campus and region that is Southern Illinois. If you are into camping, hiking, canoeing, or rock climbing, this is the place for you. There are TONS of fun and free (or very cheap) outdoor things to do within a 30 minute drive from campus.
ACT: 34 Female

I applied to the earlyOct 14 2010Communications
I applied to the early. The process was fairly simple. Don't get worried if you get transferred around a lot, the campus is very busy at the beginning of the year.
